Sign up to fixed-term deals now to beat price hikes says Energy Advice Line
Consumers keen to keep a lid on spiralling energy prices should consider signing up to fixed-term deals now as suppliers refuse to rule out further price rises, according to the Energy Advice Line.
Big Six supplier British Gas made a pledge in May to keep a lid on tariffs but has refused to rule out a price hike, despite reporting a rise in profits following last winter's record-breaking chill.Read more >

Industry-Wide Ban Urgently Needed to Ease Rollover Contract Pain
The Energy Advice Line has hailed moves by two of the Big Six energy companies to end rollover contracts as a breakthrough for UK businesses.

British Gas to Simplify Energy Tariffs
Energy Advice Line has been calling for changes to the residential and business energy markets including calls to OFGEM to use their powers to level the playing field and simplify energy tariffs for as much transparency as possible. With this in mind, it is with much pleasure that we have read that British Gas have recently announced that it will be simplifying tariffs by streamlining their standing charges in order to help consumers to better understand and more easily compare energy prices.Read more >
