Ted Williams (Sheffield) Limited

Ted Williams (Sheffield) Limited successfully transferred to a new business energy supplier but it became apparent that the energy supplier would not be able to maintain the desired level of customer support through their billing system. The supplier was left with no choice but to “push” Ted Williams back to their old energy supplier which would have undoubtedly led to them being placed in very onerous out of contract prices.

The Energy Advice Line managed all parties, handled the negotiation, avoided the out of contract rate scenario and transferred the customer to a new business electricity supplier, which actually turned out to be more cost effective than the electricity supplier that the customer originally switched to.

Steven Guest from Ted Williams (Sheffield) Limited comments “Although we had already transferred to a supplier it soon became apparent that they could not bill our meter configuration. This would have resulted in us being put back on an out of contract default rate that would have cost us dearly. The Energy Advice Line, however, stepped in managed all parties and negotiated a speedy transfer to another supplier that allowed us to maintain our savings which was a great result all round”.
